Tanzania faces healthcare challenges that demand urgent action:

Diseases Burden:
Communicable diseases like malaria and HIV/AIDS, alongside a rising tide of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), account for 34% of all deaths

Health Literacy:
Only 65% of women and 72% of men have basic health knowledge (TDHS, 2022).

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
Cardiovascular diseases (12% of total deaths), Diabetes (prevalence of 9% among adults), Cancer (cervical and breast cancer are the most common)

Maternal Mortality:
524 deaths per 100,000 live births (UNICEF, 2022).
Our Programs
Transforming Healthcare in Tanzania Through Action
Health Education
Providing communities with vital health knowledge to improve health literacy and prevent disease. Our community workshops target to reach over 20,000 individuals, resulting in a 60% increase in knowledge of key health practices.
Technology-Driven Solutions
Developing and implementing innovative digital health tools to improve access to care and information. According to TCRA, Total Telecom Subscriptions increased from 73.4 million in March 2024 to 76.6 million in June 2024, showing a 4.3% growth.
Children, Adolescents, and Youth Health Program
Improving the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and youth through integrated health services, education, and support.
Maternal Health Program
Improving maternal and newborn health outcomes through community-based education, prenatal care and postnatal support, and strengthening linkages to existing health services.

Afya Aid Kioski
The AfyaAid Kioski Project aims to improve healthcare accessibility by establishing strategically located health kiosks in high-traffic areas such as markets, malls and bus stands throughout Dar es Salaam. These kiosks provide immediate access to basic medical services, health screenings, and educational resources, ensuring that underserved populations receive the care they need promptly.
Mental Health Program
Increasing access to mental health services and reducing stigma through community awareness, training, and support. Addresses the challenge of limited access to mental health services and stigma.
